Coin-op Concerns - Consorzio Gioco Founded
Consorzio Gioco was founded when five companies located in various areas of central-northern Italy joined forces to face the challenge of the new regulations on coin-op games. Bernardi Eugenio, Favola, TBM Elettronica, ATC and GM exhibited together at Enada Primavera, sharing a stand covering 300 square metres and offering a completely new image in the coin-op industry. "Our aim is to present a new image of the sector as well as of the companies involved," said Eugenio Bernardi, one of the promoters of the initiative. "And this is one of the reasons why we have appointed a woman as our president, something quite unusual in a predominantly male sector," Mr Bernardi said. Consorzio Gioco president, Angela Santerini (pictured) is Public Relations manager at Fevala and did not expect to be offered the position. "It is a great commitment, and I am proud of the trust that has been given to me and that I hope to reward. In this activity I will apply my personal rules of life, I will try my best and I will aim to be fair with the members, hoping that I will be a good president," Ms Santerini said.
The Enada exhibition, held just a few months after the founding of the consortium on 5 December, was a first positive step: "Enada is our first event, we have began walking together, and it is during these first steps that we need to get to know each other, to learn to work together. We have manufacturing and commercial experience, and a lot of will, and so we hope to exploit this. Yet the first results will only come after the law has been clearly defined, when it is possible to manufacture and sell our products with certainty," Ms Santerini said.
