AMOA Announces Pre-Expo Events
The Amusement and Music Operators Association (AMOA) have announced two events that will take place the day before the AMOA expo opens, September 16. The first ever AMOA international pre-expo golf tournament and a special tour of Hoover Dam and are being offered to early show-goers. AMOA invites attendees and exhibitors to come a day early and enjoy golfing with industry colleagues at beautiful SilverStone Golf Club in Las Vegas. Designed by Robert Cupp, the course will be the site of a fun-filled afternoon. The other option for show-goers is to visit Hoover Dam, which has been described as one of the greatest construction marvels of the 20th Century. Finer Than a '39er will take you to the interactive Boulder Dam Museum where you will enjoy a fascinating presentation by one of the dam's actual construction workers. Learn what life was like working on the largest project ever undertaken and get the facts on rumors and myths surrounding Hoover Dam (formerly Boulder Dam). The 4-1/2 hour tour includes lunch at the Historic Boulder Dam Hotel, a visit to the Boulder Dam Museum and a tour of Hoover Dam.
