Sega Europe Launches New SWP Machines
Sega Amusements Europe Ltd have released two revolutionary Video Payout/SWP machines, which are about to storm the industry. Initially launched into the United Kingdom as cash payout SWP's with a maximum payout of £40, there are plans to manufacture a different version of these machines as Video Payout with a higher maximum payout for the gambling areas of Eastern Europe and as redemption games issuing tickets or tokens. The game is also fully Euro compliant so rather than paying out £40 it can payout 40Euro.
Whilst there have been Video SWP's released before, these games are the first to maximise the potential of a high end video amusement game and also have a very entertaining skill element with prizes.
Sega Amusements Europe Ltd, Sales Director – Paul Williams said, "We have been income testing these machines for the past few months. The income results are astonishingly high, beating all other similar product, both in a pub environment as well as an arcade."
The games are housed in the acclaimed Naomi Universal Cabinet, which has already proved hugely reliable and popular. It has a compact footprint and is easily installed. The familiar format of the Naomi cabinet gives instant player recognition and a broad player appeal. The added benefit is that these games are designed to be upgraded with new software kits in the future just by changing over artwork and control panels.
Paul Langham of Town & County Leisure said, "We have prototype examples of both these machines and have been testing them for some time. The cash box takes look encouraging. This confirms that the product, video SWP is here to stay. I will be recommending to the Independent Operators association (IOA) that they should consider buying both machines."
The Club Kart Prize SWP is a revolutionary driving SWP and is the first of its kind. Players use their skill to drive a go-kart around a choice of tracks. As they drive along they run over coins and collect money trying to avoid the penalty points as they go. Then the amount of money collected is multiplied by the time in which they completed their lap. The quicker the lap time then the higher the multiplication ratio. Players have to decide which strategy to take, either drive around the track as quickly as possible to get the highest multiplication ratio and risk missing some coins to run over, or be more careful and slower around the track maximising the number of coins picked up but reducing the multiplication ratio. Players then enter an "all or nothing" stage where they must brake and stop the kart in a given area to win.
The Shoot Out Pool Prize SWP (pictured) features a realistic miniature pool cue to give the player the feel of playing real American Pool and the ability to perform authentic pool shots. The intuitive interface control unit and realistic physics give a true realism. As the player pots each ball money is credited to the bank. The player must pot the first 4 balls first before any money can be won. The player can collect the money at any time.
