Amusement Leisure Worldwide is based on the expertise of its founders, who developed and owned Canada's first water themepark and waterslide manufacturing facility twenty-five years ago. The founders of ALW were pioneers in the global waterpark industry and they continue to be integral members of the ALW team today. The past twelve months have been a period of growth and expansion for the company. In November 2002, ALW acquired WaterFun Products, the internationally recognized creator of the patented Sidewinder?, Stealth? and Maelstom? waterslides.The company has also launched a new website in celebration of its 25th anniversary: www.amusementleisure.com. One of the unique features of the website is the ability for visitors to take a "virtual ride" on one of Amusement Leisure Worldwide's signature waterslide rides. The first quarter of 2003 has been the busiest quarter in the company's history, with thirty projects underway in eight different countries.
