Barber Cut Lite to debut at IAAPA 2008

Namco America will be exhibiting innovative prize redemption game Barber Cut Lite at the IAAPA Attractions Expo. The machine has a range of prizes each dangling inside the cabinet on a piece of string, with players using the control buttons to make a scissor mechanism cut a string to release the hanging prize.

The appearance at the IAAPA trade show will mark the products debut in the American market. A larger 2 player version of the game was released earlier this year in the European market by Namco Europe. The game has performed very well for operators, with Namco Europe already on their third release of the product. According to Namco America, during a six-week location test at Chicagoland movie theatre, Barber Cut Lite averaged more than double the earnings of the current #1 selling merchandiser.

The machine can also accommodate a variety of different prizes, providing operators with plenty of options. Barber Cut Lite can dispense high-value prizes as large as 8.5" x 11" x 4", or as small as a DVD.
