Bowlplex First in Europe to Link Cycraft

Total entertainment centre operator Bowlplex plc has installed Europe's first linked interactive driving simulator, 'Cycraft', at its Brighton site. Bowlplex is the first operator in Europe to install and link two Cycraft machines together, allowing players to race against each other. Cycraft is the ultimate interactive motion simulator giving a realistic and exciting game. Players sit in a capsule with a large screen to the front, Cycraft moves in all possible directions giving a real sense of motion and the feeling that the player is actually in the driving seat.

Sega Amusements Europe Ltd concluded negotiations with Simuline to exclusively distribute the motion simulator, which is linkable with up to eight machines. Cycraft is the only 8-player linkable interactive motion based simulator in the world and benefits from an agreement from Sega to develop at least 3 software titles in the next couple of years.

Cycraft is linked to the hugely successful Club Kart racing game produced by Sega and is described by them as a 'dream machine'.

Neil Vaughan, general manager at Brighton Bowlplex said: "We so lucky to have the new Cycraft simulator installed at Brighton Bowlplex, and very excited that we are the first in Europe to link two machines together. This allows the game to be even more exciting and fun as you can challenge a competitor to a race.

The Cycraft simulators have proved to be a great success at Brighton Bowlplex since the instalment in July.

Brighton Bowlplex has 26 fully computerised bowling lanes, Video World with all the latest arcade technology; the 2am licensed Sports Bar and Grill, the American Pool Pit and DJ and dance.
