Brent/Namco snaps up Apple photobooth line

Brent Sales/Namco Europe is set to bring a big slice of American photobooth pie to the British and European amusements markets following the tie-up of an exclusive distribution deal with NY State-based Apple Industries, Inc.

The first product developed under the new partnership, the inaugural Apple Photobooth features a dye sublimation printer issuing two ready-cut, colour-fast photo strips with a vend time as low as 20 seconds. Users can opt for colour or mono pictures with a simple passport-style background, or select from a wide range of popular themes including stylised frames, disguises and comical effects. Software-enhanced facial recognition technology ensures sharp rendering and precise placement of the subject within the desired template.

Brent/Namco Commercial Director, John Brennan said: "Apple Industries boasts decades of photo-imaging expertise and has long been the number one choice for a broad spectrum of US amusements operators. There is no separate dongle charge on this new unit, which means lower overall running costs - all operators need do is replenish the ink and paper, then watch the income continue to build."
