Coinless Slot Machines in Atlantic City

Yesterday the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa Opened in Atlantic City, NJ and was the first casino in the area to use all coinless slot machines. According to Associated Press, all 3,650 machines have what is called ticket-in, ticket-out technology, meaning that they take cash but dispense winning wagers and credits in voucher tickets. The tickets are redeemable for cash or can be used to transfer credits to other machines. The casino is jointly owned by MGM Mirage and the Boyd Corporation.
