FX Simulation opens a New Manufacturing Plant in Scotland

FX Simulation has opened a new manufacturing plant in Scotland. This new factory will manufacture their two seater simulator the U2 Mirage. This opening is significant as this is the first and only two seater simulator to ever be manufactured in Scotland. Speaking from the new Factory in Cupar, Fife, Mr Fleming said "There is quite a buzz here in our factory. The whole team takes a great pride in what we do here. Machines manufactured in Scotland will have a Scottish flag on them to signify their origin"Mr Fleming personally assists in the construction of every simulator as well as personally attending every installation. "It is important for me not to loose touch with the other end of the process, which is the installation and commissioning. For me this is one of the most satisfying parts of the job. To see someone go on the simulator and come off it and say that was great. It makes all the hard work building the simulator very
much worth it." Mr Fleming continued "Customer satisfaction combined with the revenue that our simulator brings ensures that it remains a popular choice for operators. It also ensures that operators not only continue to purchase from us, but also recommend our product." The U2 Mirage already enjoys success on many prime locations throughout the UK including London's Trocadero, numerous Megabowl sites and a Namco Wonderland.
Installation Team Leader Jason Burt commented "Now that we are manufacturing our customers can expect a better level of support and quicker delivery of spares which we carry on our shelf ready for dispatch. We have a dedicated section to deal with spares being sent out and returned for repair. Although the bulk of the spares we send out are due to vandalism not malfunctions in the simulator itself.""There is a special lab to repair any components we have returned. The aim of the lab is not only to fix the problem, but also to source the cause of the fault and ensure it does not happen again." Said Production Manager Steven Watson.
Mr Fleming added "As I have personally spent a lot of time working on the simulators on site, I know and understand the problems engineers will face when they have to swap components, to that end, when we are manufacturing we are very careful to think ahead to what must be done to swap components round on site. In taking this into account we are making it easier for engineers on site to swap components around quicker and get the simulator running again." FX Simulation will trade actively from both locations for a short time before fully moving to the Factory in Cupar.
