Gamexpo 2008, The International Gaming & Amusement Exhibition, was held between 9 and 11 September in Budapest, Hungary. The show was notably smaller than previous years, with many exhibitors reducing their stand area from last year's event.

A total of 38 exhibitors were represented, in addition to the local Hungarian companies. There were growing numbers of international manufacturers and distributors, including Odrex from Ukraine, DLV SIA from Latvia, Casino Technology and Euro Games Technology from Bulgaria, as well as Austrian Gaming and Webak from Austria.

Visitor numbers were also down on previous years, and organisers have already announced that Gamexpo 2009 will be held at Hall 'B' of the event center which is smaller than this year's area. Organisers have also announced that more attractive events will be planned for next year to drive visitor numbers including daily events such as snooker, bowling and poker tournaments.
