Over the past two years retail prices have fallen with the average price of CD-ROM games now approximately £4 cheaper than they were in 1998. The biggest increase was realised by Nintendo with their GameBoy machine seeing an increase of 160% over 1999 figures, largely attributed to the success of the Pokemon series.
