IAAPA Cancels AAE 2003 Because Of SARS Outbreak

The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) has announced the cancellation of Asian Amusement Expo (AAE) 2003, on the recommendation of its AAE Advisory Committee, as the current Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) outbreak continues to demonstrate how much is still unknown about controlling and combating the disease.

IAAPA's Executive / Finance Committee made this difficult decision after carefully considering how the health and safety aspects of the SARS issue would affect the organising of AAE 2003, both pre-event and on-site. The show had been scheduled to take place July 16-18 at the Singapore International Convention and Exhibition Center.
