InterGame Expo - New UK trade show announced

A new UK trade show has been announced for January 2009. The InterGame Expo will take place January 26 to 28, at the Ibis Hotel, London. The new trade show comes after many exhibitors revealed dissatisfaction with ATEI 2008, with rumblings surrounding the ownership of the event, the invasion of non-trade visitors and layout problems abounding for months.

The InterGame Expo is located within 10 minutes walk of Earls Court, home of the ATEI show, which takes place Jan. 27 to 29. The trade show is designed as a 'no frills' exhibition, responding to exhibitor demands for a modestly priced event, according to its backers. InterGame's David Snook said: "We have been asked by a number of companies to prepare an alternative show that will meet their demands: the end of January, all on one level, reasonably priced and marketed globally. That is what we have done."
