Jersey Jack Pinball & Pat Lawlor Reveal Original Dialed In Pinball Machine!

Jersey Jack announced some time ago that their third pinball machine would be an original title designed by Pat Lawlor, which has recently been revealed as Dialed In!

Pat Lawlor is famous for designing some of the best-selling pinball machines, such as The Addams Family and Twilight Zone, among others. The new original title was revealed at Pinball Expo 2016.

It has become an uncommon practice within the pinball industry to make original titles, instead relying on licenses to build tables and sell machines. The reason being is that the machine will be market ready and it is a trend that the wider arcade industry has been adopting for a number of years now for redemption machines, etc. As Mr. Lawlor said in his presentation during the show, ‘if players don’t get what you are trying to convey, you’ve just wasted several years of your life.’

Following the reveal and presentation, Jersey Jack has experienced at least one website crash as orders have flooded in. There are two models available: The Collectors Edition and the Limited Edition.
Features of Pat Lawlor’s Dialed In pinball machine include:

  • Integrates Bluetooth & smartphone connectivity and a camera. Simply lay your smartphone down on the glass and it will activate a special mode during multiball.
  • 5 magnets and 3 flying drones
  • 3D interactive projected image
  • An animated robot toy
  • Hidden trap door
  • 27″ HD monitor in the backbox
  • Headphone jack input
  • RGD LEDs throughout the playfield
  • Standard pinball size, NOT widebody

The theme looks to be based on modern technology, and is packed with toys and devices to occupy players, which would also explain the Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity integration as well. The pinball machine also features Jersey Jack’s signature playfield LCD, this one being which is the smartphone on the playfield.

The release of Dialed In has coincided quite nicely with the upcoming IAAPA show, where hopefully players will get to play and learn more about the Lawlor’s latest creation.
