JPM On CourseThis article comes from Highwaygames.com ![]() Celtic Manor is the venue for the 2010 Ryder Cup and the magnificent setting provided an ideal backdrop for some excellent golf. Competition for prizes was as hot as the weather and the odd expletive was heard when encountering some of the wetter hazards on hand. Despite this the good nature of the players and welcome watering holes at the 4th and 12th ensured a very enjoyable days golf for all. The evening meal at The Priory in Caerleon saw the awarding of the all important prizes. From the spread of winners it appears that Pathfinder could have been practising well ahead of the event and this was reflected in the success of their players. Nearest the pin winner was Pathfinders Pat Woods who got the ball within 4 ½ ft of the 12th hole plus Pat also shared the Team Prize with Rod Walker, Barry Newnes and JPM's Tony Broadwood. Another Pathfinder success was Barry Newnes who won the individual prize with a score of 36 points (based on 2pts for par, 3 pts for birdie and 1 pt for bogey). It wasn't all Pathfinder (but nearly) as Paul Bowgett from Laurel won the longest drive prize with a monster 285 yards on the 18th. Paul issued an immediate challenge to Tiger Woods who had avoided the day with the excuse he was due to play in the British Open. Prizes aside the day was a great success and JPM International would like to thank all those who attended the day and look forward to next years event. https://www.highwaygames.comhttps://www.highwaygames.com/arcade-news/jpm-on-course-996/ Copyright © 1999 - 2025, Highwaygames.com All Rights |
