JPM Reveals Changing DirectionThis article comes from Highwaygames.com ![]() JPM Interactive and PlayJam launched the Gameology system of pub-based quiz games on interactive television last month as they commenced their pay and prize SWP service on the Sky satellite platform. The service was initially launched with two games, Hangman and Battleships. The third game, SportsQuiz, followed shortly. Mickey Kalifa General Manager of PlayJam said, "Initial player response has been strong especially bearing in mind that no significant promotion or advertising has yet been undertaken. We see SWP games on interactive TV as a valuable and entertaining additional option for our players. JPM's Gameology system brings JPM's large stable of established SWP games into the interactive TV arena." New Media Director of JPM, Robin Johnson said, "The Gameology system has been developed with considerable care by our team in Birmingham. The system is truly media independent and you can expect to see implementation on Internet and mobile phone media plus more private networks over the coming months. At the heart of the system is the control mechanism that delivers a Pub type SWP experience whilst retaining sophisticated security arrangements. Although the first thrust of the system is to make JPM's wide range of SWP games available via new media we view Gameology as an enabling system and we hope third party game developers will take advantage of it." The launch of the new Gameology system further highlights the changing direction that JPM has undertaken since its withdrawal from the UK HiTech AWP market last year. https://www.highwaygames.comhttps://www.highwaygames.com/arcade-news/jpm-reveals-changing-direction-1982/ Copyright © 1999 - 2025, Highwaygames.com All Rights |
