London Arcade Plagued by Daylight Robberies

Arcades in London are currently being plagued by daylight robberies, these attacks consist of a gang of youths storming the premises holding up the staff and customers at knife point and crowbarring the AWPs (Amusement with Prize fruit machines) to get the money out.

Most of the operators in South and East London have been effected by this this year and the trade body Bacta are now trying to gather information on this gang. The police are not interested to investigate stating they are understaffed and overworked!

We would be interested to hear from other operators in the area that have been hit, and also from other operators globally to hear how they have combated this kind of crime in their areas.
