MAYGAY EXCLUSIVE GLOBAL VR DEAL

Maygay Machines has announced the terms of an exclusive agreement with San Jose, California based Global VR, they will manufacture and control distribution of the new golf game based upon the EA Sports' Tiger Woods PGA TOUR home computer game.

Following a series of successful product demonstrations at IAAPA, the Maygay Group's Managing Director Neil Chinn was delighted to put several key pieces of the jigsaw into place:

"Tiger Woods PGA TOUR is a fantastic brand, and a superb game. As has been shown, quality golf games with tracker ball action generate astonishing cashbox performance. We are proud that Global VR have chosen Maygay as its partner. The game deserves the strongest possible support, and we have put a proven team in place. In the UK, the distributor will be Cosmic Video, who will also act as European Tournament Directors. In the remainder of Europe, our distributor will be Namco Europe. Months of work have gone into this project, on both sides of the Atlantic, and everybody involved is now itching to tee-off at ATEI 2002!"

At the heart of this deal is Global VR's recently completed four-year deal with EA Sports (Electronic Arts), under which they will develop a series of arcade and tournament games based upon the top-selling domestic PC game, Tiger Woods PGA TOUR. And, although the agreement with Maygay takes the UK AWP and SWP manufacturer into new territory, Global VR's President Milind Bharvirkar is in no doubt he has chosen the right partner for this massive project.
