New games under development for NAOMI 2 include Virtua Fighter X, Virtua Striker 3, Club Wagon, and Wild Riders, a motorbike game. New games based on the NAOMI 2 system are due to arrive in arcades by end 2001. It appears that existing Naomi games will also be able to run on the new system. Given the specifications of NAOMI 2 are so advanced, there has been speculation about what the new system means for the future of Dreamcast. It will be a major job scaling back NAOMI 2 games to fit onto the Dreamcast platform. For the record, the specifications of the NAOMI 2 are as follows: CPU: 128-bit Hitachi SH4 RISC Processor, at 200 MHz, 360 MIPS, 1.4G FLOPS Graphics engine: Power VR2 Sound engine: Super Intelligent Sound, 32-bit RISC CPU, 64 channel ADPCM Main memory: 32MB Graphic memory: 32MB Model data memory: 32MB Media: ROM board or GD-ROM Geometric Performance: 10,000,000 polygons / second Rendering Performance: 2,000M Pixel / second Image Display Processing Functions: Bump Mapping, Fog, Half Transparency Effect (Alpha Blending), Mip Mapping, Bi-linear / Tri-linear Filtering,Burr Anti-Aliasing, Parallel Processing of Texture, Environmental Mapping, Specular Effect (Reflection Light Effect), 16 sources of light.
