Photo Play to Launch Soccer Quiz Next Month

Photo Play has announced it will launch a European soccer championship quiz in Portugal on 31 May 2004. The quiz will include 800 topical questions and will be updated with a further 200 questions by the grand final on July 4. The Portugal 2004-Quiz is open to contestants from Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Finland, France, Portugal, Spain and Cyprus.Manager of fun.net International Markus Gurlitt said anyone who participated in the Photo Play World Games in March would remember the emotions packed into such competitions. "Surely it will be a thrilling contest to find out which country the most profound player comes from," Mr Gurlitt said. Operators participating in the competition will be able to purchase promotional packages consisting of table displays and t-shirts. "For pub-owners it's an outstanding opportunity to boost their takings. The soccer topics will dominate most conversations either way. What could be better than to challenge one's guests to play a game during which they can prove their knowledge," Mr Gurlitt said. Participation in the tournament is available for all operators with a linked Photo Play NET terminal, at no extra charge.
