Last week the thrilling finals of the PHOTO PLAY World Games 2006, were held in the heart of the Majorcan mountain gallery, Gal Dent. The finals took part in many locations during the day and were filled with fun activities at night.Christopher Röricht of fun.net Germany presented the two very successful "Sports Arena" and "Photo Play Clubs" concepts that have resulted in a far more than average growth in takings. Peter Pletts from South Africa impressed with his recount of a collaboration with the largest South African Brewery, Miller, and the launch of a new beer, the Genuine Draft. During the launch, everyone who buys the new beer receives a player's token, which enables him to take part in a special Miller Fun Towers.
The promotion not only reaches a large public but also secures interesting and new operating locations for Pletts. Hektor Valdés, who works for Photo Play-Partner Carfama in Spain, reported on the great national championships that had the entire country in suspense last autumn. An impressive finale was held in a large shopping centre at the beginning of December.
Norbert Langer, funworld ag's international sales manager, completed the informative afternoon with an overview of Photo Play's most recent developments. Both the PHOTO PLAY Sportster Xtreme and System 2006 were met with much attention. The many participants were impressed.
