Sega.com purchase FamilyWonder.com

Sega.com announced this week the acquisition of the FamilyWonder Inc, a family entertainment media company, and the appointment of Jonathan Kaplan (founder and CEO of FamilyWonder) to president and CEO of Sega.com.

Kaplan continues to remain chairman of FamilyWonder and will focus his attention on Sega.com's online console and PC gaming businesses in North America, including all business development, marketing, sales and operations. Since its launch in September, Sega.com has signed more than 157,000 members to online gaming network SegaNet, accessible via personal computers and the Dreamcast vidgaming console.
