Sega Rally 3 Launched

Sega Amusements Europe launched the long awaited new game in the Sega Rally series, Sega Rally 3, at its open day this week in Chessington, Surrey.

Sega Rally 3 was developed by the now defunct UK-based Sega Racing Studio, who also developed the XBOX 360 and PS3 game Sega Rally Revo. Rather than simply being a direct port of the game, Sega Rally 3 was developed alongside Sega Rally Revo. Because of this, the two share a large portion of art and music.

Sega Rally 3 runs on the new Europa-R board, which allows the game to run at 60 frames per second. The cabinet is also very impressive, with a 62 inch DLP screen running at high definition 720p resolution, and a dual actuator motion system.
