Arcooda Pinball Ultra Debuts at Australasian Gaming Expo Today
Arcooda's Ultra Video Pinball machine will be on display at Sydney's Australasian Gaming Expo starting today and spanning over August 15 and 16. Arcooda's machine is the first licensed touch screen video pinball cabinet to be sold on the market as plug and play ready. The company have also worked alongside Farsight Studios (the makers of Pinball Arcade who recreated games such as Addams Family and Medieval Madness for video pinball on mobile, PC, XBOX etc) to create full-sized video pinball tables with back-glass and DMD support.

Gary Stern to headline Pinfest Australia 2018

Sega Starts Production On Standard Daytona Championship USA
Sega has started production on a new smaller, standard version of their Daytona USA. Known as the Daytona Championship USA Standard, the new model is designed for people will smaller space restrictions. Notable changes between the two versions include a 43-inch monitor as opposed to a 47 and the removal of the dynamic marquee which included a 32-inch monitor. In its place is a yellow Hornet car.

Taito Launches Space Invaders Room in Japan
Celebrating 40 years of Space Invaders, Taito has launched a Space Invaders Room in Osaka, Japan. The pop-up experience, available until January 27, 2019, includes an array of games and experiences created around the much loved theme. Games currently on display include Space Invaders Gigamax, an 8 player wall projection, Arkinvaders, a projected virtual field, Noborinvaders, a climbing wall and Bahamut Disco featuring Space Invaders.

Orders are now being taken for Bandai Namco's latest non-coin op version of their Pac-Man Pixel Bash. The Pac-Man Pixel Bash Chill Cabinet, the latest version designed for home use includes an inbuilt mini bar fridge, two cup holders on either side of the cabinet and a bottle opener.

Videogame history publisher Read-Only Memory to release nostalgic pop-up book detailing SEGA Arcade's most iconic 'body sensation' cabinets: Hang-On, Space Harrier, Thunder Blade, After Burner and Out Run! These cabinets will appear as dazzling pop-up paper sculptures created by paper engineer Helen Friel and illustrated by renowned commercial artist Kam Tang.
